This maybe it...

This year has flown by quicker than a blink!! I can't believe that my second year of college is coming to an end! It unbelievable, I remember moving into Phillips Hall Freshman year and now I am, 3 finals away from being a junior in college! And honestly couldn't be more proud of myself, I am the first generation to attend college in my family and I love the feeling of being a step closer to my dreams of becoming a graphic designer. I leave for California May 3rd, and will be spending 7 days there exploring all different kinds of design industries, and showing them off my work is going to be much anxiety involved but I know its going to be nothing but a great experience. I appreciate you all taking the time to read my blogs throughout the semester.

Peace and blessings

Electric Forest

\

Electric Forest is held June 25-28th in Rothbury Michigan, it a 3 day long event that is held in the middle of the woods, that you have the option to either sleep in your own tent or can choose to rent out a log cabin.

This is a music festival that I have always wanted to visit, someday I will make it happen. Eltetic Forest isn't your typical music festival that is held in the middle of no where. This gives us people a chance to experience a music festival in a complete different environment that typical ones are held at. With it being located in the middle of the forest I believe that it will bring people closer together because you won't have as much space due to all the tress and I think thats what makes the experacne and community so great.
I have watched countless videos online about electric forest and it is given nothing but positive views and the feeling there is nothing but good vibes toward one another because everyone is there for the same reason.

4 days with nothing but being with a community of people that could potentially be you're new best friend, great live music in the freaking forest and nothing but art and creative people showing some love <3
Please watch these videos so you can get a visual image on what its all about :)

Let me see you throw your "X" up

EXCISION X

Recently it has been one heck of a concert steak for me! While everyone was having great time over Spring Break on there fun vacations in PCB or wherever you decided to go, I was sadly stuck in KC working all week trying to get a little extra cash so at the end of the break I decided to treat myself with yet another concert. Surprise! hehe

But this previous Sunday my best friend and I finally got to see one of our favorite Dj's that we have been dying to see for years now! It was well worth the wait! We got to see Excision!! For many of you, you probably have no idea who I'm talking about but if your looking for some wakeup/power up jamz I would highly suggest looking him up!! As always I had the time of my life! Met a lot of new people that I hadn't seen around before and also got the chance to trade some kandi with people and got some cool new ones in return! Its always fun making new kandi bracelets before hand and also getting knew ones at the show because you never know what you're going to get.

After the concert my ears were ringing for a good solid 2 days and Tech N9ne showed up!!!!

AOKI AOKI AOKI

Steve Aoki

About 2 weeks ago 02/26/15 I went to KC to see on of my favorite DJ's Steve Aoki and the Midland in Kansas City, one of my favorite venues of all times. Steve was also with on of my favorites called Caked Up! Aoki has been on tour with this Neon Future Tour all around the country and I was excited that my friend and I were able to make it to his sold out show! It was unbelievable! We even made it front row and canter toward. Perks of general admission concerts, you're able to make your way to the front with just a little bit of nicely pushing and shoving. :)
As you can tell from my previous posts that I am really into concerts and what all they have to offer. I enjoy going to shows and just love the environment that they provide. I know DJ's and music festivals aren't for everybody but for a me its just an escape from reality and a way to just free my mind and just enjoy whats happening at that very moment.

But back to Steve here are some pictures and videos that I hope you guys can enjoy
At the end of every concert Steve has this tradition where he has huge large size sheet cakes and just throws them on people in the crowd, they all love it

Buzz Beach Ball

Buzz Beach Ball

For my 4th blog post I am going to take about Buzz Beach Ball, a local Kansa City concert that is sponsored by 96.5 the Buzz (Those of you who are from KC understand) Buzz is a different kind of concert genera of music compared to what I have been posting from my previous blog post. Buzz is one of my personal favorite concerts that I have ever been to. All the bands that are played on 96.5 the Buzz include a lot of alternative music style. A lot more chill and relaxing compared to a lot of EDM concert I have been to.

2 year ago was my favorite Buzz experience was at River Front Park in Kansas City, they had one of the best line up I have ever seen featuring; Little Green Car, Alt-J, Awalnation, Cage the Elephant some of my favorite bands of all time!!

All these pictures are from when I went to Buzz 2 years ago!! Sorry I could get the videos to work :(

BONNAROOOOOOOOOO

Bonnaroo Music and Art Festival

Bonaroo music festival is located in Manchester Tennessee. They say its an "escape into excitement, music, art and discoveries. Its is over 700 acres filled with TN nature surround by you at all times. Bonaroos mission is to get everyone involved as a community where everyone comes together as one. It's all about meeting new people and experiencing the experience together. This music festival brings over 85,00 happy campers every year and has 150 performances to show to the community.

One if my favorite things about Bonaroo is that you get the option to camp out! Camping and exploring has always been one of my favorite things to do ever since I was little. I love the outdoors and everything that it has to offer. Because when you go to Bonoroo its not very often that you get to wake up in the morning with a concert waiting to start right in front of you when you first wake up in the morning.

As far as the the lineup goes, I couldn't be more pleased with this years lineup and past. As far as this year goes they have a great show ahead of them! Featuring; Billy Joel, Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine, Bassnectar<3, Twenty One Pilots, and Tove. (go to there website for the full lineup these are just some of my favorites that I have seen in concerts in the past)
Along with the concert comes to a lot of things that a lot of people don't take the time to sit down and think about. Bonnaroo is smack bad right at the end of July when the sun in blistering, and keeping hydrated is one the most important things to do what going to a festival that involves you staying in the heat for 10+ hours a day. One the the positive things about Bonnaroo is that they have FREE water filling station around the concert for you to fill up your water bottle, or just to get a drink. Dehydration is the number one cause to sickness when it comes down to summer festivals. Along with having the time of you life it is really important that you keep your body healthy and hydrated at the same time. For more survival tips I would check out there website they have a lot of great information for new comers. :)
